Whitehead Institute research advances to second round of STAT Madness competition
Whitehead Institute has one contender in the second round of STAT Madness 2022, STAT’s March Madness-style competition of the year’s top biomedical research discoveries. Each week, discoveries will face off head-to-head, and the popular vote will determine which contender moves up in the brackets.
Whitehead Institute is represented this year by Whitehead Institute Member Jonathan Weissman for the development of CRISPRoff, a technology to reversibly and heritably control gene expression with no cutting of the DNA strand and no DNA sequence changes. The current round of voting will continue through March 14. Be sure to check back here each week to vote for your favorites in the coming rounds. The champion will be announced on April 4.
