Building from the bottom up: New members of Whitehead Institute explore the fundamentals of biology

In this video, learn about the ambitious research programs of the two newest members of Whitehead Institute, Pulin Li and Ankur Jain. Li experimentally re-wires genetic circuits that control tissue patterning, with the goal of one day informing regenerative medicine techniques. Jain investigates the biophysics of RNA molecule aggregations, which could lead to cellular dysfunction seen in repeat expansion disorders such as Huntington’s and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
